Game: TT Isle Of Man: Ride on the Edge
Platform: PC, PS4, Switch, XBox One
Publisher: Bigben Interactive
Release Date: 23/05/2019 (Switch)
TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge is off to a very strong start. Since launching last week on PS4 and Xbox One, the bike racer debuted at number two in the UK video game charts for the week ending March 10. According to MCV, it was beaten by Grand Theft Auto V by a very narrow margin. The fact a game released several years ago is back at the top of the charts is a feat in itself.
TT Isle of Man also beats Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, which was number six in the charts, and the only other racing game in the top ten. For a relatively specialist racing game, this is a very respectable achievement and a testament to the TT Isle of Man championship's strong fanbase. In fact, at the time of writing TT Isle of Man is currently sold out on Amazon on both formats, suggesting that the game was perhaps more popular than the publisher anticipated.
TT Ride on the Edge is the first video game to feature the gruelling 37.73-mile mountain course in a decade. It also features nine additional fantasy tracks, 23 official riders, and a career mode.
