The Mercedes-Benz X-Class pick-up truck has been confirmed as one of the many vehicles coming to The Crew 2.
Set to appear in the game in an off-road-oriented 'Rally Raid' guise, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will also be making its racing game debut in The Crew 2.
Publisher Ubisoft has also confirmed a specific one-make race for the premium pick-up truck will be included in The Crew 2. No other details on this event were disclosed, though it's expected the event will incorporate a cross-country route to better suit the Mercedes' off-road bias.
It's also expected the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will be joined by a variety of pick-up trucks and SUVs in The Crew 2. For example, the Jeep Wrangler was clearly depicted in The Crew 2's release date announcement trailer.
The first mass-market pick-up truck from Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class is claimed by the manufacturer to be a vehicle that "unites the typical characteristics of a pick-up…with the classical strengths of a real Mercedes". Despite debuting in a game based in the USA, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class isn't for sale in the United States – making The Crew 2 the closest possible way in which to traverse North America in the truck.
