Gran Turismo Sport's complete car list has been revealed

Martin Bigg On October 6, 2017

Four years after it was originally announced, there's now just over a week to wait for the long-awaited release of Gran Turismo Sport on PS4. Ahead of its release, Sony's marketing campaign is gathering speed, as Gran Turismo Sport's complete car list has been revealed. And there are some glaring omissions, to say the least.

Featuring a grand total of 162 cars, the list falls short of Forza Motorsport 7's encyclopedic collection of over 700 cars. For comparison, Gran Turismo 6 featured a staggering 1197 cars, but to be fair a large portion of these were recycled 'standard' models from the PS2 era with old assets. Every car in Gran Turismo Sport has been remodelled and are so intricately detailed that it takes six months for Polyphony to build just one car. Kazunori Yamauchi has even said that the car models are of such high quality that they're 'over-specced' for PS4 Pro and designed with future consoles in mind.

As this newly released trailer shows, Gran Turismo Sport's car list is divided into several classes ranging from road cars to race cars and prototypes. It's disappointing to find so many old favourites missing as the series is steering in an online-focused direction, but GTPlanet reports that the car list could be expanded with up to 500 cars in the future as DLC.

You can find the full Gran Turismo Sport car list below. Surprisingly, there isn't a single Nissan Skyline to be found.
