The mobile racing game Gear.Club will make its console debut later this year on the Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Eden Games (the studio behind the V-Rally and Test Drive: Unlimited franchises), Gear.Club Unlimited is expected to be predominantly a port of the original mobile title – with the only likely major modification being the added support for the Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con controllers.

Whereas the original Gear.Club release was a free-to-play game, Gear.Club Unlimited will almost certainly be a premium title. As a result, it's also possible Gear.Club Unlimited will also ditch the microtransaction elements of the mobile game.

Content-wise, the only feature that Eden Games has confirmed will be carried over from the Gear.Club mobile release is the car upgrade system. It's presumed, however, that all of the content from the mobile version will be carried over into Gear.Club Unlimited.

A definitive release date for Gear.Club Unlimited has yet to be officially disclosed, though the title is currently scheduled for launch in the final quarter of 2017. More information on the title will likely be revealed in the coming months.
