The Northern Isle Speedway track has become synonymous with GT Sport thanks to the numerous times the track has featured in promotional screenshots and trailers.
You begin to build a picture of the track in your mind as you contemplate what it would be like to race on. It was such a big surprise, once we finally got our hands on the GT Sport beta, to see just how small the track actually is.
The Northern Isle Speedway oval is just half a mile in length, so a typical lap in a fast racing car clocks in at just under 15 seconds. With such small lap times you'll be turning your car around corners more than you are going straight which can test your strength if using a racing wheel with a particularly high force feedback setting.
After getting a feel for the track in qualifying we entered a race which proved to be quite eventful as we were expecting. Cars can be seen spinning out as they collide with the outer walls and other race cars, we try our best to keep our noses clean throughout which paid off massively, you can view the action below.
