Today 505 Games has announced that the anti-gravity racer Redout (previously released for the PC) will launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on August 31.
Redout will hit the shelves for the consoles with an enhanced version known as Redout: Lightspeed Edition. This version comes complete with the newly added split-screen mode for co-op play with friends along with the Europa and Neptune DLC packs.
Redout features a comprehensive career mode consisting of more than 100 challenges across 11 different events. A total of 30 tracks across 6 locations are included and players will have 12 upgradable powerups at their disposal including the usual offerings of turbos and shields among others.
Players will choose between four racing classes and 7 different racing teams, each requiring a unique approach to master. Ships can be upgraded in several areas including engine and structure.
Redout: Lightspeed Edition will be available from August 29 in the United States and August 31 across Europe for at $39.99/€39.99/£29.99. Finally, both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will include a unique, format-exclusive livery that will be available for all ships.
