New firmware updates have been released for Thrustmaster's flagship racing wheels ,the Xbox One-compatible TX and PS4-compatible T300 RS, that optomise the cooling fan and power management.

TX Racing Wheel Firmware V48 Changelog

– Optimized cooling fan management (the cooling fan turns off quicker now when the motor cools down).

Detailed instructions on how to update the TX firmware can be found here.

T300 RS Firmware V24 Changelog

– Optimized cooling fan management (the cooling fan turns off quicker now when the motor cools down).

Detailed instructions on how to update the T300 RS firmware can be found here

Despite the fans occasionally becoming noisy after a while if you dial up the force feedback, I never found them to be particularly obtrusive if you have the volume up. The motors in the T300 are already a lot quieter than a lot of other wheels on the market, so it will be interesting to see how much of a difference the firmware update has made.
