Game: Ride

Platform: PC, PS4, XBox One

Publisher: Milestone S.r.l

Release Date: 27/03/2015

With less than two months until its release, we were admittedly getting worried about the alarming lack of official Ride screenshots and gameplay videos – especially when you consider the stiff competition it will be facing the same month. It's a relief, then, to finally present the first official Ride gameplay trailer showcasing a plethora of highly detailed licensed bikes (what else?) bombing round some of the real world and fictional tracks featured in the game to the tune of a rousing rock soundtrack.

As well as providing us with a long-awaited first look at some footage compiled from actual gameplay, the trailer confirms some frequently asked statistics: Ride will feature 15 locations, 114 bike models spread across 14 manufacturers and hundreds of accessories to customise your bike. Local multiplayer for up to 2 players is also supported, along with the obligatory online multiplayer for up to 12 players. Offline races will pit you against 15 AI bikes, which is a disappointing downgrade from MotoGP '14's races with 22 AI riders jostling for position. Still, there is a possible upside to this, as the reduced rider count could enable Ride to run at 60 fps on consoles. MotoGP '14 and MXGP locked the framerate at 30 fps on consoles in order to maximise the number of AI opponents.

In addition, Ride's pre-order perks have been announced. By pre-ordering Ride, you'll be granted access to one of two Yamaha DLC packs containing either current or historical bikes, the latter of which is exclusive to GAME.

YAMAHA 2015 BIKE MODELS: YZF-R1, YZF-R1M, YZF-R6 – 2015 models* pre-ordered from participating indie retailers.

YAMAHA HISTORICAL BIKES: YZF-R7(1998), YZF-R1(2002), YZF-R1(1998)* can be pre-ordered from GAME here: http://tinyurl.com/RIDE-pre-order-GAME
